Tresendar Manor

Tresendar Manor

Description

On the far east sound of town. Setting atop a small hill surrounded by woods and thickets sits the manor. It looks more like a castle. It has long been abandoned but rumor has it it that the redbrands have set up base in the cellars.

Rooms

Cellar

The door opens into a dive-foot-wide landing fifteen feet above a large cellar, with stone steps descending to the floor in two short flights. Another door stands beneath the stairs to the north. A large stone cistern occupies the western part of the room, whoes walls are lined with kegs and barrels.

There is a door to the North West

Barracks

This appears to be a storeroom pressed into service as living quarters. Two double bunks stand against the wall near the door, while barrels and crates fill the southern half of the chamber.

On one of the lower bunks sits a Goblin. He looks at the adventures with a look of shear terror on his face. "Please dont hurt me. I never wanted to be a part of this. My family started to follow Glasstaff when I was young. I didnt have a choice. Maybe I could help you?

Cragmaw castle. Yes it has long been taken over by Goblins. I am not sure if your friends are there. It has been years since I have been to the castle and because of my reluctance to terrorize the town I was not often informed of current plans or information.

You will find the castle in the South West portion of the Neverwinter Wood. It is about 25 miles east of the High Road and 15 miles north of the Triboar Trail. If you leave town heading East and travel for 5 miles on the Triboar trail you should be able to find a secret but well worn path leading north. This trail will take you right to the castle.

Oh you wish to see Glasstafs Quarters? Maybe I can help? Follow me I will lead the way.

Crevasse

A cold breeze fills this large natural cavern, carrying with it the faint scent of decaying flesh. A crevasse divides the cavern and is flanked by two rough stone columns that support the twenty-foot high ceiling. Two arched wooden bridges span the chasm.

he Goblin leads you to north end of the crevasse going across the bridge traveling west. "Glassstaff's workshop and quarters are located to the north west of the hideout. Follow me but dont look down. There is still a monster that gaurds the pit". The south bridge will collapse when you cross it. The Nothic lives in the pit now since you all rid the area of redbrands. If he gives you trouble just give him food and he will let you pass.

WorkShop

This room appears to be the wizards workshop. A rat scurries across the floor and takes refuge under a large worktable set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of it stewing and bubbling away. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchemnet and strange-looking tomes"

Glasstaff's Quarters

The walls of this bedchamber are covered with drapes of scarlet cloth. The furnishings include a small writing desk with matching chair, a comfortable-looking bed and a wooden chest at the foot of the bed

You see a note on the desk that you miss the first time. It is from the black spider Lord Albrek, My spices in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kill them if you must, but dont allow them to upset our plans. See that any dwarven maps in their possession are delivered to me with haste. I am counting on you, Iarno. Don't dissapoint me.
